Umpires will be paid $22 per game beginning in the 2010 season, as approved by the association at the Spring Meeting on April 11th. Also, as a means of trying to encourage people to begin umpiring, the association will also reimburse $35 towards any new umpires startup costs under the condition that they work a minimum of 12 games (2010 season only). Any questions about umpiring can be directed to Deputy Umpire In Chief Tom Harty, who will be orchestrating the meetings and training our newest umpires, at 952-1586 or tharty@daktel.com. Umpires, please be at the complex no later than 6:45. If games on an umpire's schedule diamond result in a forfeit, that umpire must work at least one game on another diamond with another umpire in order to receive payment for their scheduled games.
